Individuals should continue to protect themselves and others at recreational water venues both in and out of the water by practicing physical distancing and good hand hygiene
Inspect workplace: Regularly check all equipment and tools to ensure that they are maintained and safe to use. Check storage areas and review safe work procedures
Install air purifiers to remove odors and particulate matter from air
Install automatic water taps in public washrooms and showers (ex: timed taps, push button taps, etc…)
Install control nozzles on water hoses
Install fat separators in the kitchen’s sewage system. Ensure that these separators are monitored and maintained monthly
Install timer switches which are operated manually to control equipment at the hotel’s wet areas, such as Jacuzzis and saunas. These timers will allow the equipment to run for short periods of time instead of working continuously throughout the day
Instruct workers to deal with visitors with caution e.g.: workers should not open the doors of cars or taxis
Insulate and monitor hot water and cooling pipes. Monitor the insulation regularly
Insulate exterior walls, windows and roofs
Introduce regional dishes based on locally produced foods on your menus
